    about iidachako week

IidaChako Week is a fan week dedicated to the relationship between Iida Tenya and Uraraka Ochako. This event is profic/proship! No work will be rejected on the basis of its content being "problematic" so long as it has been tagged appropriately.Works produced for IidaChako Week should be new. For the purposes of this event, "new" simply means that you aren't reposting an old work - updating an existing work with a chapter that fits the theme of a given day is fair game.

    general questions

Who is the mod for this event?
    Recipro!
Do I have to participate in each day to take part in this event?
No, you do not! If only certain days appeal to you, then feel free to just participate on those days.
What will be determined by the interest check?
The length of creation period, the length of the week, and the prompts.
    Is this event 18+?
The event Twitter will only interact with works from users who are 18+ and have their age/age range in their bio, but anyone under 18 who wishes to participate may still submit their (SFW!!!) creations to the AO3 collection.
Do I have to be on Twitter to participate in IidaChako Week?
You do not have to have an account on Twitter to participate, but understand that the event account will not actively seek out works hosted on other social media sites.

When can I start posting my work for each day?
You may begin posting at midnight local time, but your work might not be retweeted until after midnight EST.
    Can I post late?
Absolutely! The event account will retweet late fills for prompts until July 15 at 8 PM EST.
How long will it take for my work to be retweeted by the event Twitter account?
Please allow at least six hours after you've posted your tweet before sending DMs. The mod is typically unavailable between 10 PM EST - 5 AM EST and will go through notifications first thing in the morning.
How do I make sure my work gets retweeted?
Be sure to @ the event Twitter and use the hashtag #IidaChakoWeek2023!
Help! I think you may have missed my tweet!
At the end of each day, as well as at the conclusion of the event, a tweet will be posted rounding up any works that may have slipped through the cracks. Reply with a link to your original tweet and it'll be retweeted to the event account!
My work still hasn't been retweeted and I've done everything listed above. Why?
Check to make sure your work has been appropriately tagged. Works that are not tagged properly will not be retweeted to the event account. You may either Quote the original work with the appropriate tags and @ the event account or repost your work with the appropriate tags.

    content questions

What content is not allowed for this event?
As long as IidaChako is the focus, your work is your own (no AI), and everything is tagged appropriately, your work will not be rejected from the event for content reasons.
Can I include background / side ships in my work?
As long as IidaChako is the focus, background and side ships are permitted.
What is considered a "new" work?
Updates to existing works (new chapters to fics, pages to comics, thread updates), works that haven't been posted publicly, and brand new works created specifically for IidaChako Week are all considered new.
    Can I interpret [prompt] as...?
Prompts are 100% up to your interpretation and your work can be as closely or loosely-inspired by an individual prompt as you see fit.
Do I have to incorporate all three prompts into my work?
That is not at all required. If you would like to incorporate all three prompts for a given day into your work, feel free, but you're really only expected to choose one.
What types of content can be posted for IidaChako Week?
Any and all forms of audiovisual art (traditional/digital drawings, mood boards, cosplay, graphics, AMVs, playlists, etc.) and written works (fics, headcanons, essays, poetry, etc.) is fair game.
Are there any requirements for audiovisual art / written works?
There are no minimum word counts for written works or specific requirements for visual works.

    ao3 collection questions

Is posting to the collection required?
Not at all! If you'd rather not have your work included in the IidaChako Week 2023 collection on AO3, that's perfectly fine.
How do I add my work to the collection?
While posting your work, under the Associations section, type out "iidachakoweek2023."
Alternatively, you may go to the collection and click "Post to Collection." The relevant field will be filled out for you on the Post New Work page.I think my work was removed from the collection. Why?
Though works will not be removed on a content basis, they will be removed if your work is a placeholder, plagiarized, not properly tagged, or you're a minor posting NSFW content.
How long will the collection remain open?
Exact dates will be posted following interest check.
The collection will open no later than 7 AM EST the day before posting begins and will close on July 31 at 8 PM EST.
